The artist tells a story of the surrounding and rapidly changing world, where private life intertwines with what is public, political. One can see the crumbling authoritarian regime, the fear of the unknown future, yet, the joy and democracy on the streets. Completed by a personal commentary, the photographs, as sliding film frames of a ballad, create a new subjective narrative. Andrzej Wajda: I know what I see in this unusual album very well. I took part in those events, I was near Lech Wałęsa, I became a senator. However, had it not been for her photographs, the picture of that time would have blurred in my memory.
