The album presents the activity of BOS (Office for the Reconstruction of the Capital City) in the first years after the war.
The authors explain why the reconstruction of Warsaw was such a complicated process, what was behind the solutions, which shaped the city as it is today, and why it is difficult to form unequivocal judgement about it. The album is elaborately illustrated with the photographs and documents from the archives of BOS (among others) which in 2011 was listed by UNESCO as part of the Memory of the World Programme.
