Count Kossakowski, the owner of the Wojtkuszki estate, near Wiłkomierz (currently Ukmerge), is an exceptional figure. He was a well-known collector and patron of the arts, a social activist, and, last but not least, one of the most original photographers of his epoch. Let us present the album with over 160 unique photographs from both the Kaunas region and Warsaw, such as the photographs depicting architecture, palace interiors, refined landscapes, portraits, as well as arranged genre and street scenes. The artist was keen to photograph his family, friends, visitors of Wojtkuszki and… himself. He experimented with light and setting, he played with form and convention.
