The authors describe the activities of ARA (American Relief Administration) which cooperated with the protestant YMCA and the Quaker Religious Society of Friends, American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, and Polish-American catholic organizations. They are also reminiscent of fourteen Americans who tied up their lives with Poland.
