The album contains almost one hundred photographs of Warsaw from the second half of the 1940s selected by Katarzyna Madoń-Mitzner and Anna Brzezińska from the vast archives of the Polish Press Agency.
The works of outstanding Polish photojournalists (including Jerzy Baranowski, Stanisław Dąbrowicki, Karol Szczeciński, and Zdzisław Wdowiński) show war devastation of the capital city and its rebirth.
